Dear Dr. David & Ann Kitonga
From the Lord and all the youth here at Guidepost Gospel Church, we hope that the money that
is enclosed will help you in your goals in Kenya. Ever since Mrs. Kitonga spoke to the youth
about her objectives in Kenya, the youth became motivated to help. They wanted to contribute
and show how much they cared for the future of the children in Kenya. Therefore, for the past
month, the youth has put together a series of fundraisers to help raise money for your cause.
For the first week of November, the youth had put together a lemonade and carrot juice sale
which were sold for $.50 and $1.00 respectively. The youth was pleasantly surprised by the
huge number of church members who actually bought the juices. The youth even ran out of
carrots to make the juice. In that week alone, the youth raised over $90.00. Motivated by this
huge amount, the youth persisted the next week with a bake sale. Over the course of the week,
the youth found time to bake brownies, scones, cookies, cakes, and J-ello. Due to the past
week's success with the carrot juice sale, the youth again sold carrot juice. The bake sale was a
great success as well. There were many magnanimous church members who donated some
extra change. The youth hopes that the three hundred or so dollars that we have raised will
help build and feed the vision you have for Kenya's future and future generations. As a
personal goal, the youth has committed themselves to having a fundrasier once a month to
support causes in other countries. May God be with you and the others in Kenya. May your
missionary works there succeed. We hope that you will keep in touch with us so that you may
tell us about your progress in Kenya. God Bless You.
Your Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
